Great surgery, it can be difficult to get an emergency appointment during the winter months but that is to be expected everywhere.
Since registering with Park Surgery I have had nothing but excellent care for a new diagnosis. The Drs and Nurses are so very kind and helpful. The reception staff go out of their way to help you even though they are under a lot of pressure. Just sitting in the waiting room watching them deal with patients is amazing, they are professional, polite and hard working. What a great team you have.
I've been kept waiting average of 45 minutes for the last 3 visits with the locum doctor, she seems to have very poor time management, not ideal when you have to park on a parking meter in the nearby park.
My wife who has parkinsons dementia recently had a nasty fall and the community nurse arranged for a paramedic to come out and check her over and telephoned the next day to check up and give advice.
I think this is exceptional service.
This practice used to be a great one but I believe it has gone downhill in the last couple of years, perhaps because it just has too many patients. The staff remain friendly and helpful, but I have been moved from one GP to another and I usually cannot get an appointment with my GP for 2-3 weeks. I have also been passed around from doctor to nurse to doctor quite a bit and this seems very inefficient to me. The latest bad news for me particularly, and I am sure many others, is that blood tests will end at the surgery from June 2017. This means joining the queue and waiting around at the Horsham hospital department which is already overstretched. Given all of this I sadly cannot continue to recommend this surgery anymore.
